On a glorious sunny day on Wednesday 17 August Green Energy International’s latest solar farm project began to generate electricity for the first time.

The Ring O’Bells solar farm in Hinton near Bristol was finally commissioned after eighteen months, the land was first secured in February 2015. The 30 acre site will generate 5MW of power, sufficient to power 1,515 typical homes and save approximately 2,150 tonnes of CO² emissions.

Arthur Bell, Green Energy International’s MD commented “We are delighted to have finally got this important project commissioned, the third of six planned this year”.
